He visited us in our home and developed a deep understanding of the style of the home where the painting would hang. He provided creative and valuable design-related ideas, such as how to arrange and unify the background, the pose, the dress, the chair, a favorite antique desk from Dail’s family, the lighting, and the expression. As the painting progressed, we visited him several times at his studio and were thrilled with the progress at every stage. “My wife and I were very fortunate to have been the high bidders at a charity auction where Anthony had donated a pastel to support a local charity. We were excited to have a sitting for our two grandsons, who at the time were 4 and 6 years. Anthony was very professional during the entire process. He contacted us and we arranged a meeting at our home where we wanted to use our patio as a backdrop for the pastel. He genuinely interacted with the boys and took what seemed like dozens of photos to catch their mood and expressions. Then he presented us with some ideas and sketches of what he proposed. After some discussion we agreed on a layout and he went away to do his magic. And what magic it was! We can’t thank him enough for being able to capture them as he did. We both love this pastel and display it proudly in our foyer. Anthony was also very helpful in advising us on the proper way to mount and display it, something that shouldn’t be overlooked.
